Russian ship with stolen Ukrainian grain unloaded in Turkey

The bulk carrier Irtysh (IMO: 9664976) arrived at the port of Samsun (Turkey) to unload 33,000 tons of stolen wheat.

This was reported by Kateryna Yaresko, a journalist for the SeaKrime project of the Peacemaker Center.

The vessel was loaded in occupied Sevastopol at the Avlita grain terminal from April 10 to 15. After that, the bulk carrier entered the anchorage of the Kavkaz port, where it reissued its documents.

“This is a manipulation that is often used to hide the facts of the theft of Ukrainian grain and the illegal crossing of the State Border of Ukraine. The documents are fake, since the loading took place in occupied Sevastopol,” notes Kateryna Yaresko.

It is also known that the exporter is the “Zernoexport” company, and recently the vessel has been sailing the route between occupied Sevastopol and Djibouti and Salif (Yemen).

USM previously reported that the Russian bulk carrier was likely unloaded at an Israeli port.
