Ending the war is the only guarantee of security in the Black Sea, says Turkish Foreign Minister

Meanwhile, Turkey, Bulgaria and Romania continue to cooperate in the Black Sea Mine Action Group.
Achieving a just and lasting peace between Ukraine and Russia is a necessary condition for the long-term security of the Black Sea region. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated this during a visit to the Bulgarian capital Sofia, Ukrinform reports.
“We consider it vital for peace and tranquility in our region to use all opportunities to achieve peace between Russia and Ukraine. Turkey will continue to provide active support to the parties in this direction. We expect the earliest possible achievement of a lasting and just peace based on international law,” Fidan said.
The issue of Black Sea security became one of the key issues during the negotiations with the Bulgarian side. Fidan also noted that Turkey, Bulgaria and Romania continue to cooperate within the Black Sea Mine Action Group, which contributes to the safety of shipping in the region.
Recall that earlier Russia struck a Turkish cargo ship with a drone off the coast of the Odesa region.
