Russia uses drone to strike Turkish cargo ship off Odesa coast

A fire broke out as a result of hitting the superstructure, and two wounded crew members were evacuated by Ukrainian Navy boats.
On the night of May 29, a Russian UAV attacked the ANT dry cargo ship, which was sailing from one of the ports of the Odesa region to Turkey under the flag of Vanuatu. The ship belongs to a Turkish company, the Navy reported.
A fire broke out as a result of hitting the superstructure. Units of the Maritime Search and Rescue Service and the Ukrainian Navy quickly localized it. Two wounded crew members were evacuated by Navy boats and taken to a medical facility.



The Navy emphasized that Russia continues to purposefully threaten international shipping by attacking civilian vessels and port infrastructure.
USM also recently wrote that an explosive device detonated in the port of the Odesa region.
