Pivdennyi Port Increases Export Ore Handling After Successful Inspection

Confirmation of the port’s technological readiness opened the opportunity to attract additional volumes of export ore cargo.

Port “Pivdennyi” successfully passed the inspection of the process of unloading pellets from specialized hopper cars. This was reported by the port’s press service.

According to the results of the inspection, the production processes were recognized as fully meeting the established requirements. This allowed expanding cooperation with cargo owners and increasing the volume of export iron ore transshipment.

Further realization of this potential depends on the restoration of railway logistics, in particular the traction unit damaged as a result of enemy shelling.

Earlier, USM wrote that MSC bought a 51% stake in the container terminal at the port “Pivdennyi”.
