Due to the complications of export logistics and the suspension of purchases in ports, the main volume of trade has shifted to the domestic market.

The main volume of rapeseed trade in Ukraine has temporarily shifted to the domestic market. This is reported by APK-Inform Agency.

The reason is the deterioration of export logistics and the suspension of purchases in deep-water ports. This allowed processors to reduce purchase prices to 25–26 thousand UAH/t on CPT terms.

Last week, the rapeseed market entered a phase of increasing physical supply. The start of mass harvesting of the new crop coincided with the complication of exports. Because of this, exporters were restrained in purchasing rapeseed, reviewing price levels and contract terms, taking into account the increase in military and logistical risks.

The main volumes of export supply have shifted to the western border. On DAP-western border terms, demand prices were formed in the range of €480–495/t.

In the coming week, the market will likely remain under pressure from the seasonal increase in supply of the new crop. Further price dynamics will largely depend on the resumption of export activity through seaports.

The day before, USM wrote that the market for “handisizes” has literary stopped, and Danube freight has increased by $3–5/t.
