More than UAH 4.3 million will be recovered from former Minister of Agricultural Policy Koval in state revenue

The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court has declared unfounded part of the asset registered in the name of a relative of the former Minister of Agrarian Policy.
This was reported by the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office.
On September 2, the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court partially satisfied the claim of the Prosecutor’s office prosecutor to declare unfounded part of the asset registered in the name of a relative of the former Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Vitaliy Koval.
The court declared unfounded part of the asset, namely 53.15% of the apartment, which is located in one of the elite residential complexes in the city of Kyiv, and ruled to recover from the official its value in the amount of UAH 4,353,176 from the state revenue.
In 2021, the official’s relative acquired an apartment with an area of over 170 sq. m in one of the elite residential complexes in the city of Kyiv for a total value of UAH 8.1 million. Since 2023, the official began to enter information about this object in his declaration as the place of residence of his family and the object of rent of his wife.
The lawsuit is motivated by the fact that the collected evidence confirms that the official and his family use this object much earlier than he indicated in the declaration, the Prosecutor’s Office noted.
During the analysis of the income and expenses of the relative, law enforcement officers established the partial impossibility of acquiring this real estate object at the expense of legal income. The version put forward by her about obtaining a loan in the amount of almost 5.5 million UAH was refuted by the obtained evidence.
The lawsuit was based on materials from the NABU, the NACP and on the basis of independently obtained evidence, taking into account information from the investigative agency Sludstvo.Info.
The court decision can be appealed within 30 days from the date of its full text.
We will remind, in May 2025, the Supreme Court arrested two apartments in the case of the then-current Minister of Agricultural Policy Vitaliy Koval.
