Ukraine and Azerbaijan emphasized the critical role of the Black Sea for agricultural trade

During negotiations on cooperation in the agricultural sector, Ukraine and Azerbaijan separately emphasized the importance of stable trade across the Black Sea, since land routes cannot fully replace sea transportation.

This was reported by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food following the meeting between Minister Taras Vysotsky and the Minister of Agriculture of Azerbaijan, Mejnun Mammadov.

According to Vysotskyш, in the long term, ensuring stable logistics across the Black Sea remains key to bilateral trade.

At the same time, the parties agreed to intensify cooperation in the agricultural sector and move on to preparing specific joint projects.

Among the nearest steps are the preparation of a memorandum of understanding, the creation of a joint working group, and the development of a roadmap for cooperation in the areas of trade, investment, agricultural production, and innovation.

They also discussed attracting Azerbaijani investments to the Ukrainian agricultural sector, creating joint ventures, developing refrigeration and elevator capacities, as well as cooperation in crop production, animal husbandry, research and agricultural innovations.
