Ukraine and Uzbekistan signed an agreement on “transport visa-free travel”

Ukraine and Uzbekistan have signed a protocol on “transport visa-free travel” — liberalization of bilateral and transit cargo transportation.

This was announced by the Minister of Reconstruction, Infrastructure and Transport of Ukraine Mykola Kalashnyk.

For Ukrainian carriers, this means fewer administrative procedures and time costs. The implementation of such transportation will no longer depend on the number of available permits.

Due to the full-scale war, traditional logistics between Ukraine and Central Asia have changed significantly. Therefore, the Ministry of Development and Trade team is currently working on alternative routes and simplifying transportation conditions for Ukrainian businesses.

In 2025, the trade turnover between Ukraine and Uzbekistan amounted to about $315 million — 14% more than a year earlier. Simplification of road transportation will help companies from both countries develop trade.

Ukraine already has liberalized cargo transportation with 38 countries, including the European Union.
