Wheat prices rise by $3–5 per ton in Ukrainian ports

Prices for food and feed wheat in Ukrainian ports increased by $3–5 per ton last week.

This was reported by APK-Inform Agency.

According to analysts, food wheat was traded within $168–179 per ton on CPT-port terms, feed wheat — $150–160 per ton.

Prices were supported by the revival of demand from traders and the upward dynamics in the export direction. At the same time, flour milling enterprises did not form significant stocks and demonstrated restrained demand.

The supply of wheat from farmers remained sufficient, but feed quality prevailed.

On the domestic market, demand prices for second-class wheat during the week were mainly UAH 6,500–7,800/t CPT, for feed — UAH 5,000–7,500/t. The highest prices were recorded mainly in the southern regions of Ukraine.

USM previously reported that global wheat buyers are preparing for further price increases due to a sharp reduction in supplies from the Black Sea region.
