Part of the funds from the concessions of Ukrainian ports will be spent on their modernization

The Ministry of Infrastructure plans to spend part of the funds that will be received from the port concessions on upgrading the port infrastructure.

Minister of Infrastructure Alexander Kubrakov said above during a meeting with the European Business Association, Ukrinform reports.

Minister Kubrakov has noted that MIU will continue to implement projects for the transfer of ports in concessions.

“We want to leave part of the money for infrastructure renovation, because we see the condition of the berths, ports and critical infrastructure in ports,” Kubrakov said.

The minister added that over the past 7-8 years, the port infrastructure of Ukraine has not been properly repaired and is now in a state of disrepair.
