MIU budget was doubled – to almost UAH 18 billion
Next year, the Ministry of Infrastructure will receive almost UAH 18 billion (USD 658.8 million) from the state.
Thus, the State Budget for 2022 assumes that the Ministry of Infrastructure will receive funding in the amount of UAH 17.8 billion (USD 651.5 million), which is twice as much as this year (UAH 9.3 billion) (USD 340.4 million).
Of these, the general fund is UAH 13.5 billion (USD 494.1 million), and the special fund is UAH 4.3 billion (USD 157.3 million).
Development expenditures are foreseen in the amount of UAH 12.3 billion (USD 450.2 million), for consumption – UAH 1.15 billion (USD 42.09 million). Utilities and energy resources – UAH 19.4 million (USD 710.1 thousand).
UAH 605.8 million (USD 22.1 million) will be allocated for the salaries of MIU employees next year.
Most likely, such an increase in the MIU budget is associated with the Law “On Inland Water Transport”, which comes into force on January 1st. It provides for the emergence in Ukraine of a special fund for the repair and maintenance of inland waterways.
In addition, next year, the ministry plans to create a special enterprise for servicing inland waterways, which will combine the functions of the State Enterprise “Ukrvodshlyakh” and the State Institution “State Hydrography”.
