Ukrainian border guards received new patrol boats from the EU
On the Dniester border guards will work on new UMS-425 CC boats. This is the second batch of vessels from the EU this year.
UMS-425 CC boats will strengthen the security on the Dniester. The vessels were handed over to the border guards as part of the project “Together with the EU for border security”, which is financed by the European Union.
“They ill be used during joint patrolling with the colleagues from Moldova. Each boat accommodates a team of four people, is equipped with life jackets and an echo sounder, which is used to determine the depth of water under the vessel,” the State Border Service reports.As previously reported by USM, the border guards received the first four vessels from the EU in July. The cost of four boats was UAH 2.2 million. Vessels operate in the Odesa region.
