USDA predicts a decrease in the corn harvest in Ukraine
The US Department of Agriculture predicts a decrease in the corn harvest in Ukraine this season.
USDA experts estimated that in 2022/23 the corn harvest in Ukraine will decrease by 4.5 million tons — to 27 million tons. In November, the USDA predicted a harvest of 31.5 million tons, reports Latifundist with reference to the department’s report.
At the same time, according to analysts, the export of corn from Ukraine will increase by 2 million tons to 17.5 million tons. Final balances will decrease to 6.89 million tons.
According to forecasts, the indicator of the world corn harvest in the current season will decrease by 6.53 million tons to 1.16 billion tons.
Forecasts of world export of culture were also reduced — by 1.11 million tons, to 181.63 million tons. The final corn residues in the world will decrease to 298 million tons.
