The EU agreed on the 9th package of sanctions against russian federation

On Thursday, December 15, EU representatives agreed on new sanctions against russia.

The final text has not yet been published. The new package of sanctions will be formally approved this afternoon, one of the diplomats said.

Last week, the European Commission proposed to add about 200 individuals and companies to the sanctions list, including military personnel, representatives of the defense industry, members of the State Duma and Federation Council, ministers, governors and politicians.

The sanctions will also include additional export restrictions for dual-purpose goods. In particular, the European Commission has prepared measures to complicate Russia’s access to drones.

Previously, USM wrote that thanks to oil sanctions, russia lost the Eropean market of more than 1.5 million barrels per day.
