Danube ports processed 14.5 million tons of cargo in 11 months
Ports of the Danube region almost tripled cargo transshipment during 11 months of 2022.
Cargo handling in the ports of Izmail, Reni and Ust-Dunaisk increased by 2.9 times (+294%) compared to 2021. This year, in 11 months, 14.5 million tons of cargo were processed in these ports, reports the SE “Sea Ports Administration of Ukraine”.
In 2022, compared to the same period in 2021, the cargo turnover rate of the Izmail port amounted to 7.7 million tons (+210.6%), Reni — 6.1 million tons (+508.3%), Ust-Dunaisk — 662,000 tons. tons (+1314.7%).

In 2022, most grain was exported in ports on the Danube. Export volume of agricultural products (oil, bread) from the ports amounted to 6.1 million tons, which is 42 times higher than the figure for the same period in 2021.
It should be noted that since the beginning of the year, exports from Ukrainian Danube ports make up about 24% of the total volume of exports from sea ports of Ukraine.
