During the 10 months of the war, Ukraine shipped 39 million tons of agricultural products
Ukraine has shipped almost 39 million tons of agricultural products since the start of the full-scale war.
After russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February, the export of agricultural products completely stopped due to the blockade of sea ports by the enemy. But, thanks to the expansion of alternative ways of exporting agricultural products and the work of the “grain corridor”, our state continues to feed hundreds of millions of people around the world, reports the Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy of the Verkhovna Rada.
Thus, in 10 months, Ukraine shipped almost 39 million tons of grain, oil crops and their processing products. In particular, 15.6 million tons of corn, 8.6 million tons of wheat and 3.3 million tons of sunflower oil were exported, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy notes.
In particular, in 10 months, Ukraine exported:
• corn — 15.6 million tons;
• wheat — 8.6 million tons;
• sunflower oil — 3.3 million tons;
• rapeseed — 3 million tons;
• sunflower seeds — 2.7 million tons;
• meal — 2.2 million tons;
• barley — 1.7 million tons;
• soybeans — 1.7 million tons,
• soybean oil — 188,000 tons.
In the last month of 2022, it was possible to ship 6.8 million tons of agricultural products, which is 900,000 tons more than in November. In general, December was marked by an expected decrease in rapeseed supplies. On the other hand, the export of corn increased by 1.3 million tons to 3.3 million tons.
The volume of exported wheat for December remains unchanged and amounts to 1.6 million tons. However, supplies of sunflower seeds decreased by 65,000 tons, 312,000 tons were shipped for export.
