Ukrainian farmers received sleeves for storing 6 million tons of grain
In total, Ukrainian farmers received 31,000 sleeves for grain storage from FAO.
Thanks to the implementation in 2022 of projects on the distribution of sleeves and equipment for their loading and unloading, Ukrainian farmers received 31,000 polymer sleeves for grain storage from the FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations).
This number of sleeves makes it possible to save 6.2 million tons of grain, said Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solskyi at a joint event of FAO, G7 countries, Poland, Moldova, Romania and New Zealand.
“Unfortunately, the destruction caused by the war multiplies many efforts of our farmers to zero. And the production results we have have become possible solely thanks to their heroism and the support of our foreign partner countries. Despite everything, our farmers plan to supply the world markets with as many millions of tons of grain as their capabilities will allow,” Mykola Solsky emphasized.
