The Deputy Minister of Infrastructure was sent under 24-hour house arrest


The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court (HCC) sent Vasyl Lozynskyi, former Deputy Minister for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development, under 24-hour house arrest.

The arrest will last until March 22. The decision was read out by the judge in the case, reports “Ukrinform”.

“From today, the guard can be free, you can go to the address indicated here on your own. And from today you will remain there and comply with all the necessary obligations until this decision is either canceled or changed,” the judge said.

VAKS ordered Lozynskyi to attend court and summons to the investigator, as well as to refrain from communicating with other suspects and witnesses. The ex-minister must hand in his foreign passports and wear an electronic bracelet.

Earlier, the prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office announced a request for Lozynskyi to be placed in custody with the possibility of bail in the amount of UAH 50 million.

Also, VAKS chose a preventive measure in the form of arrest for the organizer of the bribe giving to the ex-deputy minister with the possibility of bail in the amount of 100 million hryvnias.

The suspect was taken into custody in the courtroom. The term of detention is until March 24.
