Ethiopia and Somalia received 110,000 tons of grain as part of Grain from Ukraine


Ethiopia and Somalia have already received 110,000 tons of grain as part of the Grain from Ukraine humanitarian program.

“Thanks to the joint efforts of Ukraine, partner countries and WFP, it was possible to deliver 110,000 tons of grain to Ethiopia and Somalia. On February 15, the MV Valsimitis vessel began loading 25,000 tons of grain for Kenya in Chornomorsk. A decision was also made to send cargo to Yemen, Sudan and Nigeria,” President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in Telegram.

As reported by Ukrinform, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this in Telegram.

According to him, each ship sent within the framework of the program provides food to an average of 90,000 people.

Zelenskyy also reminded that international experts familiar with the problems of the African continent were involved in the implementation of the Grain from Ukraine initiative.
