“Nibulon” temporarily works as a “dry port”
As a result of the complete blockade of Mykolaiv ports, the Nibulon company had to temporarily change its activities.
Due to the blockade of the Mykolaiv ports, “Nibulon” works as a “dry port” with the transfer of cargo from motor vehicles to the railway, reports Rail.insider with reference to the deputy general director of “Nibulon” Mykhailo Rizak.
“In Mykolaiv, in order to save jobs, we refocused. In December, they started loading as a “dry port”, receiving cargo from motor vehicles and transshipping it to the railway,” said Mykhailo Rizak.
Thus, according to experts’ calculations, 1 million tons of cargo transferred from highways to railways helps to save 1 billion UAH of the road fund.
Since the beginning of the large-scale war, about 80 units of the fleet remain blocked in the port of Mykolaiv, and almost 1,000 workers risk losing their jobs.
USM recently wrote that “Nibulon” is changing its organisational structure . The new management structure of the enterprise was developed together with Deloitte.
