A modern training complex for shipowners is planned to be created on the territory of the UDS

In Izmail, on the territory of the Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company, they want to open a modern training center for training shipmasters.
The project budget, according to the DREAM system, is over 38.5 million UAH, Bessarabia INFORM reports.
The new complex involves the purchase and installation of a navigation and maneuvering simulator for training on the basis of the UDP training center. Current training capabilities are considered ineffective: outdated equipment does not meet modern requirements, and practice on real ships is expensive, limited and does not allow for safe handling of emergency situations.
The creation of the center should increase the level of navigation safety on the Danube, meet EU standards and the requirements of the 1978 STCW Convention. It is expected that this will contribute to the international recognition of Ukrainian shipmasters’ certificates.
The project also has an economic effect for the region: Izmail can become an educational hub for young people from other regions and even from neighboring Danube countries, which will revitalize the local economy and strengthen Ukraine’s position at the international level.
Earlier, USM reported that the first meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company took place.
