A ship carrying timber products capsized in Russia (video)
In the Primorsky Krai of the Russian Federation, the Stepan Geyts vessel with a cargo of timber products capsized while leaving the berth.
In the Russian port of Nakhodka on January 16, about 1,000 cubic meters of wood fell into the water from the Stepan Geyts vessel while leaving the berth. This was reported by the Far Eastern Transport Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation.
There were no injuries as a result of the incident, but the vessel itself suffered significant damage. The timber products were partially lifted from the water.

Reference: the Stepan Geyts vessel under the Russian flag was built in 1983 at a shipyard in Japan. Its deadweight is 4,833 tons, its length is 90.5 m, and its width is 15.2 m. As of 2021, the shipowner was Lesprom-Nakhodka.
