A tanker of Ukrainian origin ran aground in Great Britain

The tanker “Zapadnyy” ran aground at the mouth of Cumbrian Harbor in Silloth, UK.

The incident happened on Saturday, February 10, around 12:00 GMT. This is reported by Fleetmon.

The vessel was raised at high tide about 12 hours after the accident. The tanker is now in the port of Silloth. Divers were sent to the vessel for a thorough inspection of the hull for damage.

This is the second time a ship has run aground in Silloth – the last time was in 2016.
