After the attack on the port of Primorsk in the Gulf of Finland, a queue of tankers carrying Russian oil is building up

Tankers of the so-called “shadow fleet” are beginning to accumulate in the Gulf of Finland, which were heading to load at the Russian port of Primorsk. As a reminder, the port was attacked by Ukrainian UAVs on September 12.

This is reported by ERR.

Currently, 12 tankers of the so-called “shadow fleet” are located north of the Estonian city of Loksa in the Gulf of Finland.

The commander of the Estonian Navy’s Maritime Operations Center, Ardo Riibon, noted that the Estonian military is currently not observing anything unusual in the Baltic Sea. They predict that the queue of tankers will soon increase.

Economic expert Raivo Vare, in a comment to ERR, agreed with Ukrainian estimates that Primorsky Krai is losing $40-50 million per day due to the downtime. The expert adds that if the loading equipment was damaged as a result of the strike, the pause in work will probably be more serious and longer, and the queue of tankers will increase.

It was previously reported that a Ukrainian drone attack for the first time led to the suspension of oil shipments at the port of Primorsk in northwestern Russia.
