After the bridge explosion, a traffic jam occurred in the Kerch Strait

There was a traffic jam in the Kerch Strait with vessels from the Black Sea side.

According to MarineTraffic, more than 50 vessels have gathered in the Kerch Strait from the Black Sea side. There is not a single vessel under the famous Crimean Bridge.

A fire broke out on the Crimean bridge in the morning of October 8. As reported by RosZMI, the fire started due to “ignition of a fuel tank in the tail of a freight train.”

Traffic on the bridge is currently closed. Part of the roadway was also destroyed. Now the occupiers are preparing a pontoon crossing.

For russians, the Crimean bridge is not only a symbol of the occupation of Ukrainian territories, but also a way to send military equipment to Crimea from Taman. The bridge is also used to transport grain looted in Ukraine to russian territory, for further shipment from ports under the guise of “russian” cargo.
