The attacks on the port infrastructure of the Mykolaiv region are taking place against the backdrop of systematic Russian strikes on Ukrainian ports and civilian vessels.

As a result of the attack by strike drones on the port infrastructure of Mykolaiv, the ship was damaged, but there were no casualties.

The ship lost the ability to maneuver, a fire broke out on board, and the crew was evacuated.

On the evening of August 5, Russian forces attacked the civilian ship Mera Queen under the flag of Guinea-Bissau. As a result of the attack, a crew member, a citizen of Ukraine, died.

On July 28, Russian forces struck a civilian vessel under the flag of Liberia for the third time, which was at anchor on the approaches to the port of Odesa.

While leaving the mouth of the Danube on July 25, the Russian drone “Shahed” hit a cargo ship under the flag of Palau, which was heading from a Ukrainian port to Greece.

During the search and rescue operation, the bodies of 10 dead were found – the pilot and crew members of a merchant ship attacked by the Russians near Odesa.

The hit damaged the ship’s superstructure and caused a fire on board. Four crew members were injured.

The dry cargo ship Venturo was damaged and lost its course after the Russian strike. Among the civilians is a dead person.

The tanker Yasa Polaris, chartered by the American energy company Chevron, was attacked by a drone near Novorossiysk.
