After the Russian attack on the Danube ports, the USA is ready to help Romania
The US State Department has declared its readiness to help Romania in the investigation of incidents involving the downing of drones, which the Russian Federation used to attack ports on the Danube.
This was stated by Matthew Miller of the State Department during a briefing.
According to him, the Romanian government is currently investigating this incident. The US also fully trusts Romania’s actions and appreciates the professional and balanced approach to the investigation.
“This investigation is being conducted by the Romanian authorities. Obviously, this is happening on their territory. If they asked us for any kind of cooperation, we would of course be ready to do it,” Matthew Miller emphasized.
We will remind you that the other day, Romania raised F-16 fighter jets because of the Russian attack on the south of Ukraine, in particular the Danube ports. Specialists were also sent to check the area around the village of Plaura opposite Izmail, as debris from drones could fall there.
As previously reported by USM, on the night of July 25, the Russians once again attacked the Izmail port infrastructure. The commander of the Air Force of Ukraine, Mykola Oleschuk, reported that three Russian drones had flown into the territory of Romania.
