An auction for the sale of a Belarusian vessel will be held in Ukraine

The Belarusian ship “Nadezhda”, which was confiscated in 2022, was put up for auction.

The advertisement for the sale of the vessel “Nadezhda”, which previously belonged to Belarus, was placed in the Seized Property Electronic Trading System (SPETS), writes CTS.

The auction for the sale was scheduled for April 10, and the starting price is UAH 4.26 million.

The vessel is designed for transportation of general, bulk agricultural cargo, containers. Its length is 73.8 m, width – 10.2 m, draft with a full load – 2 m. The vessel was built in 2002, it is assigned to the port of Mozyr.

“It is interesting that only 79.6% of the vessel is sold. It can be assumed that this is due to the fact that, after modernization, the ship was operated in a coupling with a non-self-propelled barge in recent years,” the publication noted.

In April 2022, the SBI discovered the vessel “Nadezhda” and another dry cargo in the waters of the Izmail port. The vessels were involved in logistics operations on the Danube in the interests of the Russian Federation. Subsequently, they were handed over to the USPA, documents regarding the possibility of their nationalization were handed over to Odesa Regional Military Administration.
