Another tanker carrying Russian oil attacked in the Black Sea

This time, the tanker Dashan, which was coming from India, was affected.
This was reported by the head of the project of the Institute for Black Sea Strategic Studies, Andriy Klymenko.
The expert did not provide details, promising them later, but noted that the tanker is sailing under the invalid flag of Gambia. It is worth noting that the previous two tankers that were attacked in the Black Sea also had the flag of Gambia.
According to the Marine Traffic portal, the last AIS signal from the vessel was received ten hours ago (as of November 10, 18:30 Kyiv time).
The vessel was in the Black Sea and was leaving the city of Sikka, India.
During the period of the G7 and EU oil embargo on Russian oil, the tanker has been involved in exporting Russian oil to third countries from Russian ports in the Baltic Sea since 2024, conducting dark activities at sea with the AIS signal turned off.
In particular, Greenpeace refers the tanker to the shadow fleet. The vessel is affiliated with the Indian company Caishan Ship Management, which is connected to the Indian company Gatik Ship Management – one of the leading operators of the so-called “shadow” fleet involved in the transportation of Russian crude oil under Western sanctions.
Since December 2024, the tanker has been under sanctions.
