ARMA offers Ukrzaliznytsia to participate in the competition for the management of arrested wagons

The Asset Tracking and Management Agency (ARMA) has called on JSC Ukrzaliznytsia to participate in a competition to select a manager for almost 18,000 seized railcars.

During a working meeting, representatives of ARMA and UZ discussed the condition of the seized railcars, the possibilities of their effective use, and potential economic benefits for the state budget, АРМА reported.

Currently, a significant part of these railcars remains unused and does not generate income. In the event of their transfer to management, significant revenues to the budget will be provided through guarantee payments.

ARMA announced a competition to select a railcar manager and called on Ukrzaliznytsia to join this process. The market consultations on this issue ended on November 18. According to the agency, these consultations were aimed at increasing the transparency of the transfer of assets and creating favorable conditions for the state and potential managers.

USM previously reported that ARMA has transferred over 400 seized Russian railcars to manage.

Recall that ARMA is starting the procedure for selling the seized Russian tanker “Nika Spirit”, which blocked the Kerch Strait in 2018.
