At URC 2026, the ferry terminal concession in the port of Chornomorsk was presented


The Ministry of Development of Ukraine has presented to investors a concession for a ferry terminal in the port of Chornomorsk, one of the key port projects of public-private partnership.

This was reported by the Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine.

This is the second concession project in the maritime sector that Ukraine is initiating to attract private capital during a full-scale war.

The project provides for the transfer of the terminal to a concession for 35 years. The expected volume of investments is at least $40 million during the concession period.

It is also planned to maintain the terminal’s throughput capacity at about 2 million tons of cargo per year with the potential for further growth.

In addition, the project provides for annual concession payments to the state, the preservation of existing and the creation of new jobs.

Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine – Minister of Development of Communities and Territories Oleksiy Kuleba said that Ukraine is forming a systemic portfolio of public-private partnership projects and creating transparent conditions for investors.

According to him, the concession of the ferry terminal in Chornomorsk is a signal to international business about Ukraine’s readiness for partnership in strategic infrastructure projects. Earlier,
