Borrell advocated the continuation of the “grain agreement”

The “Grain Agreement” regarding the export of food from Ukraine must be extended in order to prevent the recurrence of the global food crisis.

“The term of validity of the Black Sea “grain agreement”, which served as a means against the food crisis, expires in mid-March – in a few weeks. It should continue to act,” said the head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, on Monday.

According to him, thanks to this agreement, more than 50 million tons of food were exported from Ukraine, writes Interfax-Ukraine.
