Covid, mental health and Generation Z: a conference dedicated to seafarers is taking place in Odesa
The international forum “Education, training and employment of seafarers” has started in Odesa today, which will last until September 2nd.
The conference is dedicated to the legal framework for the training, certification and labour of seafarers, as well as the challenges of the era of the COVID-19 pandemic for crewing, the psychological health of the crew and the popularization of the maritime profession (one of the presentations is devoted to the topic “How to inspire Generation Z to join the maritime sector?”).
Among the speakers are representatives of the Baltic and International Maritime Council (BIMCO), the Panama Maritime Administration, as well as maritime educational institutions (World Maritime University, Odesa Maritime Academy), crewing companies and seafarer training centers.
The event takes place on the territory of the passenger terminal of the Odesa port (Primorskaya st., 6). The conference will run til September 1st. Exhibition – til September 2. The exposition includes mounts of companies where you can expand business relationships and get/offer your products and services.
