CSP Yuzhny accepted a bulk carrier with coal for Centrenergo


SE “CSP “Yuzhny” handles the second vessel with thermal coal for PJSC Centrenergo.

Thus, the bulk carrier Johnny Cash arrived at the port on December 5th. 74 thousand tons of coal are unloaded from it. The processing of the vessel is scheduled to be completed on Friday, December 10th.

Reference: Johnny Cash is a bulk carrier flying the Marshall Islands flag. Length – 225 m, width – 32 m. Deadweight – 75 149 tons.

Earlier, USM reported that PJSC Centerenergo expects coal supplies from the United States during the heating season in the amount of 300-375 thousand tons in excess of the previously contracted 37.5 thousand tons within the framework of a joint supply with DTEK.

“We expect up to 5 vessels (one delivery is equal to 75 thousand tons) of coal from the United States, in addition to the first delivery of 75 thousand tons, which we will share in half with DTEK,” said Volodymyr Galushchak, a member of the PJSC management at an energy forum organized in Kyiv Energy Club on September 8th.

On September 16th, DTEK also agreed with the American company HC Trading (Heidelberg Cement Group) to supply to Ukraine two shiploads of American thermal coal with a total volume of 150 thousand tons. Coal will be delivered to Ukraine in two shiploads. One has already arrived at the TIS terminal on December 5th, the second is expected in January next year.
