Details emerge about the latest attack on a tanker by the Russian “shadow fleet” (video)

The Dashan tanker, which was hit by SBU naval drones, was moving in the exclusive economic zone of Ukraine towards the Novorossiysk port terminal at the time of the attack.
Radio Liberty reports this with reference to a source in the SBU.
On Wednesday, December 10, the Sea Baby naval drones of the Security Service of Ukraine hit the Dashan tanker, which belongs to the so-called “shadow fleet” of the Russian Federation, in the Black Sea.
The vessel was moving in the exclusive economic zone of Ukraine towards the Novorossiysk port terminal with its transponder (AIS) turned off.
It is reported that as a result of the attack, the tanker suffered critical damage; according to preliminary information, the vessel is out of order.
“The approximate cost of such a tanker is $30 million, and during one voyage it transported oil products worth approximately $60 million. Also, the EU, Great Britain, Canada, Australia and Switzerland previously imposed sanctions on the Dashan vessel,” the source said.
It is noted that this was a joint operation of the 13th Main Directorate of Military Counterintelligence of the SBU and the Ukrainian Navy.
