EU countries insist not to extend restrictions on the import of Ukrainian grain
The majority of EU countries opposed the extension of the ban on the import of Ukrainian agricultural products after September 15.
Most of the member states of the European Union faced disagreements on the part of Poland, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and Slovakia. Currently, these five countries insist on the need to extend the ban on the import of Ukrainian grain until the end of 2023, writes RBC-Ukraine.
Thus, on September 6, a meeting of ambassadors took place, during which they either opposed the extension of the restrictions, or were “skeptical” about the proposal.
According to the media, EU ambassadors take into account the difficulties faced by a number of countries due to Ukrainian grain imports, but most representatives of the association ask the European Commission to propose alternative measures.
