EU sanctions vessels transporting gas from Yamal LNG in Russia

The European Union has imposed sanctions, in particular, against three vessels that were transporting gas from the Russian Yamal LNG project.
These are the gas carriers North Moon, North Ocean and North Light, enkorr reports with reference to Bloomberg.
These vessels are included in the 17th package of sanctions adopted by the European Council on May 20.
The gas carriers are operated by the Tokyo-based company Mitsui OSK Lines Ltd. The company confirmed that the three vessels are under its management and stated that it intends to “fully cooperate with the EU and Japanese governments in complying with the sanctions.”
Earlier, USM reported that the EU had approved the 17th package of sanctions against Russia. It concerns almost 200 vessels of the shadow fleet.
