Fincantieri can build ships for the needs of the State Border Service and the State Emergency Service

Deputy Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Serhii Goncharov met with Vice President of the Italian shipbuilding company Fincantieri Federico Riggio to discuss the prospects for cooperation.
The parties discussed the possible participation of Fincantieri in the construction of specialized vessels for the State Border Service and the State Service of Ukraine for Emergency Situations (SSUES) to carry out various missions and tasks, including protecting the maritime borders of Ukraine. Italian specialists presented separate proposals, taking into account the tactical and technical parameters and functionality for future ships previously received from the Ukrainian party.
The representatives of the Italian side stressed that if the transaction is completed successfully, then Fincantieri intends to come to Ukraine for a longer period to work together with Ukrainian shipbuilding companies, with the financial support of the Italian export credit agency SACE (Servizi Assicurativi del Commercio Estero).
