Freight rates on the Danube continue to rise

Freight rates from the ports of the Danube cluster are increasing due to the limitation of the number of vessels ready to be loaded at the ports.

Due to the decrease in the number of vessels ready for loading in the Danube ports, freight rates in the region continue to rise. This is reported by Spike Brokers analysts. The situation is complicated by the traffic jams near the coast of Romania.

As of August 8, freight rates for the Izmail-Constanza route are 40-45 euros per ton. Rates for the Reni-Alexandria route are 43-47 euros per ton.
