Grain trucks in transit through Poland do not require additional sealing

No additional locking and sealing devices are required for the transportation of grain cargoes in grain trucks in transit through Poland.

Last week, the Ministers of Agriculture of Ukraine and Poland agreed on a simplified procedure for the passage of Ukrainian grain transiting through the territory of Poland. Then the idea began to spread that wagons for such transportation would be sealed in a different way.

As the deputy director of the commercial work department of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” Valery Tkachov stated, currently there is no question of any additional sealing of grain wagons heading from Ukraine in transit through the territory of Poland.

“In other words, nothing changes for the transportation of grain in wagons,” the UZ representative stressed, writes Rail.insider.

According to him, additional seals will be applied to motor carriers.

Valery Tkachev also suggested that the issue of additional sealing may arise when cargo is transshipped on the territory of Poland or when grain is transported in semi-trailers. However, such aspects of transportation have not been discussed so far.
