Greenpeace tracks six tankers carrying Russian diesel heading to the US

Six tankers, including three under sanctions, may be transporting about 268,000 tons of Russian diesel fuel to the United States.
This was reported by Greenpeace Ukraine, which launched an interactive map to track ships carrying Russian fuel.
According to the organization’s updated data, these are the tankers Taurus (IMO 9417206), Agioi Fanendes (IMO 9798375), Talisman (IMO 9292060), Leruo (IMO 9385831), Iblea (IMO 9244441) and Primorye (IMO 9236743).
Three vessels — Talisman, Leruo and Primorye — are under international sanctions.
In particular, according to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the tanker Leruo has been involved in the export of Russian oil and petroleum products since July 2024. The vessel used risky practices, including disabling AIS, conducting covert operations near the Kerch Strait, and transshipment of cargo from ship to ship (STS).
Initially, Greenpeace reported seven tankers with 288,000 tons of Russian diesel. However, on October 30, the organization clarified that one of them — the PVT Azura — was actually transporting 20,000 tons of liquid fertilizers from St. Petersburg to Norfolk in the United States. After that, the vessel was removed from the list.

According to the updated data of The Guardian, the six tankers are transporting a total of about 268,000 tons of fuel.
Greenpeace has published an interactive map containing information about the location of the tankers, their cargo, sanctions status and declared destinations according to MarineTraffic and Kpler data. The organization warns that ships may change routes and indicate unreliable destinations.
According to Greenpeace, these deliveries are taking place within the framework of an agreements between US Presidents Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin of October 9, 2026.
On the same day, the US Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) issued General License No. 135, which temporarily allows operations to sell, deliver, unload and import Russian diesel fuel until April 7, 2027.
At the same time, Greenpeace emphasizes that deliveries involving sanctioned vessels pose risks of violating EU and UK restrictions. The organization calls for the transportation to be stopped.
Earlier, USM reported that three tankers with 140 thousand tons of Russian diesel fuel were heading to US ports. Two of them are under international sanctions.
