Harvest Commodities will build new facilities at the port of Izmail
The Swiss distributor of agricultural products Harvest Commodities has invested in the development of Danube ports.
The Swiss company Harvest Commodities will build new grain warehouses in the Port of Izmail. This was reported by “Business Censor”.
“Our investments in local infrastructure and logistics not only create jobs and bring foreign currency to the region. They guarantee that grain from Ukraine will continue to play an important role in providing food to Third World countries, including Africa,” said Harvest Commodities investor Nils Trost.
Harvest Commodities has been actively working with Ukraine for a long time. In particular, two of the company’s vessels — Riva Wind and Arizona — were among the first to leave the Odesa port as part of the Black Sea Grain Initiative in August 2022. They delivered 110,000 tons of grain to world markets.
In total, since 2021, the company has exported more than 350,000 tons of Ukrainian grain to Turkey, Egypt, China, Italy, Georgia and Croatia.
