Head of the Shipping Administration resigns

Mykola Kravchuk announced the end of his activities as the head of the Shipping Administration.
Mykola Kravchuk reported this on Facebook.
He reported that the Shipping Administration ensured uninterrupted operation of services and opened the possibility of issuing a seafarer’s identity card abroad – in Warsaw. Since September 2025, documents of citizens have been accepted in Poland for obtaining 821 POM. This enterprise alone has paid more than 53 million hryvnias in taxes and fees to the state budget.
In addition, thousands of specialists have confirmed their qualifications, and citizens and businesses have received more than 75 thousand state services.
“We now have a ready Technical Terms of Reference for the implementation of the electronic Register of Ships of Ukraine. This became possible thanks to Estonian partners, with whom we managed to build excellent relations,” Kravchuk added.
Also during this time, the Shipping Administration has signed three memorandums for the recognition of seafarers’ diplomas, four more are being prepared for conclusion.
Recall, in February 2025, Yevheniy Ignatenko was dismissed from the post of head of the Shipping Administration of Ukraine. The duties of the head of the department were temporarily assigned to Mykola Kravchuk. In July 2025, the government appointed Kravchuk as head of the entity.
Earlier, USM reported that 1,650 Ukrainian sailors have already received diplomas in European countries.
