Humenyuk: The Armed Forces destroyed 10 boats of the Russian hit squads in the south in a day

During the past day, the South’s defense forces destroyed 10 boats used by Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups.

In addition to the enemy boats, the Ukrainian military also destroyed 40invaders, a large-caliber cannon and 5 units of armored vehicles, reports Ukrinform with reference to Natalia Humenyuk, head of the joint coordination press center of OC “Pivden”.

“Our counter-battery fight is quite powerful. As many as 10 enemy boats were destroyed in the past day. This is an attempt to maneuver between islands. They are almost all civilians, converted into sabotage and intelligence groups. 40 invaders followed the course of the “Russian warship”, one large-caliber cannon and 5 units of armored vehicles,” Humenyuk commented.

She said that currently there is no very noticeable change in the front line in the southern regions, because the Defense Forces must, first of all, guarantee the safety of the defenders who will maneuver along the left bank.

Therefore, according to Humenyuk, while the counter-battery fight continues, in order to “clean up all the stocks of such maneuver boats, which can still cause damage to our units; therefore, first we destroy them, and then we go ourselves.”
