In Poland, they demand 1.3 million zlotys in compensation from the protesters at the border

The operator of the metallurgical broad-gauge line (LHS) demands compensation of PLN 1.3 million from the farmers.

JSC “Polish State Railways” (PKP) plans to sue the protesters on the Polish-Ukrainian border. The company demands compensation in the amount of 1.3 million zlotys ($300,000) from the protesters, “Farmer” writes.

“We demand the immediate cessation of illegal actions that harm the national economy and pose a threat to the health and lives of the participants of the action and workers of LHS in Zamosta. We will take legal action to recover damages and protect our rights and business interests. The protest coupled with the dumping of cargo on the track is a criminal activity that endangers the lives and health of both the LHS workers and the protesters themselves,” PKP said in its letter to the farmers.

It will be recalled that on February 20, protesters blocked the LHS tracks. Then the Poles dumped 4 tons of Ukrainian grain from the wagons.

The state-owned company noted that grain transportation on the LHS line accounts for only 1.72% of total traffic, and protesters blocked all traffic and prevented the arrival, departure, loading and unloading of a number of trains.

Previously, USM wrote that the first offenders who spilled Ukrainian grain from grain trucks on the border with Poland have already appeared in court.
