In Romania air alert went off during Russian attack on Danube ports

Residents of Tulcea County received a warning about possible falling debris due to an attack by Russian drones on the Ukrainian port of Izmail.
On the night of May 30, at around 1:30, residents of the northern part of Tulcea County received a RO-ALERT message about the possibility of objects falling from the airspace. DIGI 24 reports.
The message urged people to remain calm and seek shelter. In the absence of shelter, it was recommended to stay inside the house, away from windows and external walls.
The Romanian Ministry of National Defense reported that at around 00:30, the radar surveillance system detected a group of targets in Ukrainian airspace heading towards the port of Izmail.
We remind you that Romania recently adopted a law that allows shooting down drones that penetrated the country’s airspace. From September 5, 2023 to today, about 17 fragments of drones have been found on the territory of Romania, most of them in Tulcea County.
Also, as USM recently wrote, Ukraine, Romania, and the EU have agreed on further steps for the development of Danube ports.
