In Russian ports in the Sea of Azov, ships are returning cargo to shore due to blocked exits

Vessels that remain blocked, in particular, in the ports of Azov and Rostov, have begun unloading already accepted cargoes back to shore.

This is reported by USM with reference to market participants.

According to one of USM’s interlocutors, the information comes directly from Turkish and Russian shipowners operating in the region.

This primarily concerns vessels that are near the terminals or may return to the place of unloading. According to the interlocutor, some of the vessels have already decided to return the cargoes to shore and remain without cargo until the situation changes.

At the same time, they are currently unable to leave the water area and are forced to remain in the Sea of ​​Azov.

The USM source calls such actions predictable and logical under the current conditions, but emphasizes that now there is direct confirmation of the start of such operations.
