Russia rejected Ukraine’s proposal to stop attacks on ships in the Black Sea, — Zelenskyy

Ukraine has offered Russia a mutual halt to attacks on ships transporting agricultural products through the Black Sea, but Moscow has refused.

This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Bloomberg reports.

According to him, Russia’s position is that it is ready not to attack the Ukrainian grain corridor only on condition that Ukrainian attacks on its energy sector cease.

Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine is ready to discuss the cessation of attacks on energy infrastructure, but only on a mutual basis.

“If we are talking about the agricultural sector, then the agricultural sector, if about energy, then energy. If about a complete ceasefire, then a complete ceasefire,” the president said.

Zelensky also said that he had suggested to several foreign leaders to use the ships of their countries to export Ukrainian and Russian agricultural products, however, according to him, Moscow is not ready for such an option.
