In the ports of Great Odesa, the indicators of wagon processing decreased significantly
Due to interruptions in the work of the Grain Agreement, a significant decrease in grain unloading rates from railcars was recorded in the ports of Great Odesa.
“If earlier the indicator ranged from 700 to 900 wagons per day (v/d), then for the past day it amounted to 125 wagons, and in general for May the average daily indicator is 274 v/d with grain,” said the director of the department of commercial work “Ukrzaliznytsia” Valery Tkachev in Telegram.
It is noted that the aggressor country actually blocks the operation of the “grain corridor”. According to information from Odesa Railways, during the past week, not a single ship passed inspection, was not registered for inspection, and zero ships were in the inspection zone. At the same time, according to the UZ, approximately 60 vessels are awaiting inspection.
As of May 15, 902 wagons with grain cargoes are moving along the railway in the direction of the ports of Great Odesa. Waiting time for unloading (queue) is 3.3 days.
In the port of Izmail, the situation also remains difficult due to the critical accumulation of wagons. As of May 15, 2,462 wagons with grain loads are moving in the direction of the port. The average daily rate of discharge in May is 79 v/d. Over the last day, this indicator has improved, given the improvement of weather conditions, to 96 wagons. For the indicated volumes of unloading, the waiting time (queue) is 31.2 days.
Among the reasons for the accumulation of wagons in the port of Izmail, the mass reorientation of the flow of wagons with grain for transportation in the direction of Izmail due to the blocking of the Grain Agreement and restrictions on the western joints is emphasized. The low technical support of operators (lack of covered warehouses, powerful unloading equipment and equipment) is also noted, despite their large number in the port. In addition, the work is highly dependent on weather conditions.
