India became the leader in the import of Russian oil by sea
India imported the largest volumes of Russian crude oil by sea from ports on the Baltic and Black seas.
In May, India imported 7.1 million tons of crude oil from Russian ports on the Baltic and Black seas, Andriy Klymenko, head of the Monitoring Group of the Institute of Black Sea Strategic Studies, said.
India imported 47.6% of its total oil exports from ports on these seas. 49 out of 100 oil tankers arrived in the country from the Baltic Sea, as well as 10 out of 29 – from the Black Sea.
In May, buyers from India paid the terrorist country about $3.8 billion for oil.
Previously, USM reported that due to the strengthening of sanctions by the USA, Great Britain and the EU, Russian oil tankers are forced to stand still at sea.
